Respondus LockDown Browser in Blackboard |
The set of screenshots and instructions that follow show just how easy
it is to enable a test for Respondus LockDown Browser from within
Blackboard. Note: Please do not complete these steps until you have contacted Misty Cobb in the Office of Distance Education regarding participation in the Spring 2008 pilot for the Respondus LockDown Browser. Enabling this setting on exams requires students to use the special LockDown Browser on those exams. The link to the download for that browser will be provided to you once you have contacted Misty, and then you can share that link with your students. |
1. Create and deploy the test in Blackboard. (If you wish to use a password for the exam, do not enable the password at the point of deployment in "Modify Test Options". You will have an opportunity to enter a password at the point where the Respondus LockDown Browser is enabled for the exam.) |
2. From the Control Panel, locate the Course Tools section and click the Respondus LockDown Browser link.
3. A list of deployed tests will be displayed. Tests labeled Enabled require students to use Respondus LockDown Browser; tests labeled Not Enabled don’t require students to use Respondus LockDown Browser. Click Modify Settings for a test.
4. To require students to use Respondus LockDown Browser for the test, select the first option and click Submit. (To remove this requirement, select the second option.)
