Evaluations

The purpose of our distance learning evaluations is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Distance Education program.  They are not intended for evaluation of faculty.  They are intended to provide feedback to the Office of Distance Education in order to address issues and make improvements in the distance learning program at JSU.  The evaluations we perform are listed below.

  • Online Course Evaluation for Students - Instrument designed to evaluate the students' experience with taking an Online Course.
  • Videoconferencing Evaluation for Students - Instrument designed to evaluate the students' experience with taking a Videoconferencing course.
  • Video-Based Course Evaluation for Students - Instrument designed to evaluate the students' experience with taking a Video-Based Course.
  • Faculty Evaluation of Distance Education - Instrument designed to evaluate the faculty's experience with teaching a distance learning course.
Evaluations are provided to students and faculty near the end of each semester, and are collected anonymously to protect privacy. Data obtained from these evaluations is used to improve our service to students and faculty.  Faculty will receive an email notification before evaluations are posted or mailed each semester.  If you have any questions regarding these instruments, please contact Dr. Sherri Restauri.
