Academic Calendar. Unless otherwise notified, Online Course students are expected to begin work on their course on
the first day of the term. Other distance learning course
schedules are indicated in the printed schedule booklet and other
resources. Your instructor may have specific requirements
regarding meeting times and dates. If you are unsure, please contact
your instructor.

JSU
Email account in order to ensure you receive official
instructions and information regarding your distance learning course, and to
access JSU's Blackboard and
other systems.
- Instructors use a variety of methods
for providing courses online. Please review the information on
the
Course Availability page for
information about course availability and access. The Blackboard
Access and Other Systems page provides instructions on how to access
Blackboard. If you are unable to locate
your course in Blackboard or another course content system, you may contact
your instructor for more information.

- If provided, follow any additional
instructions given by the instructor regarding initial steps for
getting started.
- Note about taking examinations: You may be required to
identify a testing agent or proctor in your region. Your
instructor should provide more details on this matter once you begin
